Ithaca Trench Gun Serial Numbers Rating: 8,0/10 4476 reviews

Hello, Pretty new to the forum, but lots of knowledgeable here. I was wondering if anyone knew the Serial number range of WWII issued Ithaca Model 37 Trench guns? I've been offered one that is serial numbered S23xxx Ithink the gun was made in 1940,but the 'S' is throwing me off a bit.

Also the shotgun is US marked. I have read that WWII Ithaca shotguns were not US marked.

Observed trench gun serial numbers range from: #61038 to #61856. All known original WWII Model 37 trench guns have the 'RLB' marking on the left side of the receiver So 6 rows is the key. The serial number appears to be a bit early for a 'real' WWII Ithaca M37 Trench Gun. According to Canfield's book the first quantity shipment of M37 Trench Guns was 19 June 1942 of 100 guns SN range from 57800 to 57995 indicated by the invoice.

Vintage ithaca shotgun serial number …

If this is the case then was Ithaca Shotguns were US marked? My knowledge of Ithaca's is limited so any help is greatly appreciated. The WWII Ithaca trench guns fall into the 58,000 to 62,000 serial range. They have a blue finish, and they do NOT have an S prefix to the serial number. The Vietnam Ithaca riot guns have an S prefix to the serial number and they are parkerized. They are US marked.

There are a very few (only about 200) Vietnam Ithaca trench guns with an S prefix. The rest of the Vietnam trench guns are in the high 900,000 range. These are US marked. In addition to the above, there were a bunch of Ithaca riot guns that were sent over to Vietnam for use by the Vietnamese, not US forces.

These guns are usually riot configuration, and many, if not most, have what appears to be a hand stamped S prefix serial number on the barrel and on the forward face of the receiver as well as a second non S prefix serial number on the side of the receiver. These may or may not be US marked. Does the shotgun in questions have one S prefix serial number or the hand marked S prefix number and the second serial number on the side of the reciever?

Statistica 10 rus torrent. And what kind of finish does it have. AFAIK, the WWII Ithaca shipping records have not been published. I do have a copy of them if anyone wants me to run a serial number check on a gun.
